The Thaakat foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works on various
humanitarian crises around the world. This foundation directs their focus to projects involving
education and healthcare in underprivileged villages and communities, specifically in Ghana,
Pakistan, and Sierra Leone. The purpose of this chapter at our university is to work alongside this
foundation to fundraise and spread awareness of their many ongoing projects. Our primary goal
is to serve in providing the resources to these communities. Our organization will also seek to
collaborate with similar philanthropic organizations at Loyola, as well as the Thaakat chapters in
neighboring universities. Though we will not be actively traveling to these countries, we will
strive to have an impact around us by working to help our local diverse community by
incorporating various humanitarian projects centered on education and health.

Anime Club exposes its members to contemporary Japanese animation. By doing so, students will not only be aware of the growing cultural import, but will also see what kinds of societal themes are considered important and what Japanese media wants to convey to its audience. Anime Club will serve as a visual medium, encouraging members to take up Asian Studies and affiliated courses relating to Japanese and Asian-based subject areas. Our overall goal is to expand Loyola students' outlooks through diversity in a very entertaining and educational way. By watching anime with Anime Club, members will be able to learn aspects of Japanese culture so that those engaged in watching can use it if they go to Japan or in their daily lives. Making friends within the club shouldn't be difficult, as there will be others with similar interests. Anime Club will have many events throughout the semester, aside from club meetings, as well.

Each year we travel across the country to compete in some of the world's most prestigious MUN competitions, from our award-winning annual appearance at the Chicago-based American Model United Nations Conference to other conferences all across the country.

Case Prep: RCG case preparation includes a weekly class that will help members dip their toes into consulting culture. This will help you learn what consulting is all about and guide you through the application process for internships and full-time positions. Consulting: To join the consulting side of RCG you must apply and go through an interview process. You will get the opportunity to help the Rogers Park/Edgewater community and corporations of Chicago by stepping in where large and boutique firms cannot deliver in terms of pricing and student/faculty collaboration. Associates and partners will be given paid work as we receive it.

Research: RCG strives to stay up-to-date with industry standards and news and this includes conducting research either on behalf of the client or based on Associate interest. SWORDs provides a space for students to play games that are not offered normally, such as trading card games, tabletop games, and other niche games that you won't find in the average game cabinet. We focus on games like Magic: the Gathering, Yugioh!, Gloom, Catan, and Pokémon, but have offered to provide spaces to students who are interested in other games as well. We provide a space for games that are often only available in small, niche settings. There is a large demand for groups to play with, both to provide a space to enjoy a hobby and to be social with others, and SWORDs aims to make that official. Trading Card games, tabletop games, and games that aren't always well-known can be a creative outlet for many people, so we are an active club that gives people groups to play with.
We value inclusivity and openness. We want to revolve around the theme of fun through games, stress ease, and activity. Since it is such a sought-after group among many students, allowing this space is sure to provide those values to the members who choose to participate. Our community will strive to be inclusive, active, and helpful. We will allow all kinds of people to take advantage of this club and make it clear that new players are always welcome. Our board is well acquainted with a variety of games, and our goal is to teach, help, and lend materials to new players and people interested. We will stay active, meeting every week and allowing for additional meetings.
