At this event students will be trained by Heart for the Unhoused Eboard Members in preparation for future participation at Health Fairs that take place in the Rogers Park area. Our community members typically consist of A Just Harvest, United Church of Rogers Park, Nourishing Hope, Care for Real, Howard and Evanston Community Center, Sarah’s Circle and St Thomas of Canterbury Food Pantry. HU Volunteers will learn how to check-in Health Fair participants and measure height, weight, heart rate, oxygen saturation, temperature, blood pressure and visual acuity. In addition to this, student volunteers will be prepared with how to properly communicate with Health Fair attendees using safe and professional mannerisms and communication.
