The Loyola community is invited to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season with a tree and campus lighting ceremony, hot chocolate, and carols sung by University Chorale at St. Ignatius Plaza. First attendees to arrive will receive a free scarf and beanie with a Loyola ID.

At 7 p.m., Father Thomas W. Neitzke, S.J., will bless the tree and President Mark C. Reed will deliver remarks before lighting the tree.

The tree lighting will coincide with the simultaneous lighting of seasonal decorations across the Lake Shore, Water Tower, and Health Sciences campuses.

Following the ceremony, all are invited to visit the Gentile Arena for more winter fun and food, including a custom snow globe creation station, enjoy fresh chocolate pretzels with candied toppings, waffles on a stick, and tater tot nachos. All are invited to attend evening Mass at Madonna Della Strada at 9 p.m.
Food Provided (Fresh chocolate pretzels with candied toppings, hot waffles on a stick, and tater tots with a toppings bar. )
